About
Hi, I’m Ali — the maker behind Fuerst Stitch. I design and sew each apron in my studio in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Each apron is handmade using carefully chosen textiles, with a focus on sustainability, comfort, and everyday beauty.
Many of my designs are influenced by early 20th-century domestic patterns and publications, including original pieces like this one.

I’ve been sewing for over 40 years. What began as a personal return to creativity has grown into a small business rooted in intention — slower, more meaningful, and centered on the simple joy of making something well.
I specialize in vintage-style cross-back aprons, where function and beauty quietly work together — not for display, but for daily life.
Using reclaimed and thrifted fabrics whenever possible, I create one-of-a-kind pieces that honor the past while fitting beautifully into modern life.
Fuerst Stitch is for anyone who believes that what you wear while you cook, bake, garden, or create should feel just as special as what you make.
Thank you for being here - it truly means more than you know.
