Hi, I’m Ali — the maker behind Fuerst Stitch.

I design and sew each apron in my studio in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Inspired by historic sewing patterns, I create cross-back aprons from reclaimed button-down shirts and gathered-waist aprons from new cotton fabrics and vintage tablecloths. Each design brings the practicality and charm of historic domestic patterns into modern everyday life.

I’ve been sewing for over 40 years. What began as a personal return to creativity has grown into a business rooted in intention — slower, more meaningful, and centered on the simple joy of making something well.

Fuerst Stitch is for anyone who believes that the aprons we wear every day should be both practical and beautiful, thoughtfully made to be enjoyed for years to come.
