Frequently Asked Questions
Are your aprons made from shirts?
Yes—my cross-back aprons are made from carefully selected shirts.
Inspired by early 20th-century domestic sewing, each apron continues a tradition of turning existing garments into something practical and beautiful.
Is everything handmade?
Yes—every piece is designed and sewn by me in my Wisconsin studio.
Where do the shirts come from?
I source from local thrift stores and individuals, carefully selecting shirts that can be given a second life.
Working with reclaimed textiles allows me to create something unique while reducing waste—each piece has its own history and character.
Are your items pre-washed?
Yes—fabrics are washed before being sewn to ensure they’re clean, comfortable, and ready to use.
How do your aprons fit?
My aprons are designed for a comfortable, easy fit.
The cross-back style slips on without ties, allowing for natural movement and all-day wear. Most styles fit a range of body types.
For detailed measurements, please visit the Size & Fit page.
Can I machine wash this?
All items are made from machine-washable fabrics for easy, everyday care.
I recommend washing in cold water and tumble drying on low, or air drying. Press as desired to maintain a crisp finish.
Why is your inventory limited?
My inventory is intentionally limited. I carefully select each piece I work with, and availability depends on what materials I’m able to source at any given time.
Because of this, many pieces are made in small quantities or are one of a kind. I focus on quality and thoughtful construction rather than producing in volume.
Will you restock items?
Because many pieces are made from one-of-a-kind or limited materials, most items are not restocked in the same way.
I do create new pieces regularly, so there are always new designs to explore.
How long will my order take?
Ready-to-ship items, including most aprons, are typically processed within 1–2 business days.
Table linens and made-to-order pieces are prepared within 3–5 business days.
Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking information by email.
Can I send my purchase as a gift?
Yes—many orders are sent as gifts.
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue paper and finished with a simple ribbon, and I’m happy to include a handwritten note. Just leave your message at checkout.
Pricing information is never included in the package.
Do you have a storefront location?
I don’t have a storefront at this time. I work from my studio, where each piece is designed and sewn by hand.
My full collection is available here on the website.
I occasionally participate in local markets, which I share on my website or social media.
Do you take custom orders?
I occasionally accept custom orders, depending on the piece and my current workload.
If you have something in mind, feel free to reach out, and I’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.
Do you have an Etsy store?
Yes—you can find my Etsy shop here.
My website has the full collection and newest pieces.
Can I return or exchange an item?
If something isn’t quite right, I’m happy to help.
I offer exchanges on aprons or store credit when needed. All other items are final sale.
You can find full details on the Return & Exchange Policy page.
